2014 Zitzelfilm Awards

2015 is here, but the wrapping up for 2014 isn’t over yet. As well it shouldn’t be. 2014 was a terrific year to be a movie lover, arguably the best since 2007’s ridiculous run (There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Zodiac, Once, 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Day).

I’ve been lucky to be asked to participate in the Seattle Film Awards for the second straight year, picking my top choices for a variety of cinematic categories. The final results won’t be known for a little while, eventually to post on Michael Ward’s excellent Should I See It? website, but thought why not post a few of my personal picks for best and runner-up. Any regular readers aren’t likely to find surprises.
